Ingredients:
1 16-ounce package penne 1 medium onion, diced 4 tablespoons butter 1 16-ounce can tomatoes 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce 2/3 cup vodka 1 cup heavy cream 1/4 pound pancetta, sliced (optional) 1 cup frozen peas, thawed (optional) 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper grated parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Cook onion in hot butter until tender (5 minutes). Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add vodka. Cook 5 minutes. Blend in cream, heat to boiling. Add remaining ingredients and heat. Toss with cooked pasta. Serve with grated parmesan cheese. |
