Apple Pie
Ingredients:

1 receipe
basic pie crust
5-6 Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Peel apples and slice using a mandolin or the wide side of a cheese grater.  Add sugar, corn starch, and cinnamon and stir until blended.

Roll out half of pie crust and place in pie pan.  Add apples.  Roll remaining pie crust and place on top of pie, sealing the edges with a fork.  Prick the top of pie with fork to let steam escape.  Mix 1 Tablespoon of sugar with 1/4 cup water and glaze the top of pie.

Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until crust turns golden brown.

*Try to use your hands as little as possible while making the crust.  The colder the crust stays, the crisper it will be when baked.
